"Hotel Metropolitan was wonderful to stay in for our 2 week Japan trip. The staff were very polite and helpful. The refurbishment they have had is wonderful, the bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size and it was everything we needed. It was helpful that there was a Muji restaurant connected with out hotel as it meant we could easily have a buffet breakfast. The location was great and we had a wonderful time."

"Expect a small budget room; the original concept seems to have been a room for a traveling salary man- small, quiet, no frills. Be aware that the smoking rooms do indeed smell of smoke/ I know that seems obvious, but some rooms are better than others. Ask at the front desk for their room recommendations. "
