Kamakura is a charming upscale coastal town and Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura contributes to it. Sleek, understated very well kept and right on the main street, close to countless restaurants and walking distance to the ocean and a magnificent shrine. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with every amernity one could imagine. Pajamas and hot pot and silverware for in-room comfort, and right next to a Lawson convenience store. Front desk is very accommodating and strives to meet western guests needs. Laundry onsite easy to use. If you're coming to Kamakura this is the place to stay.

Love this hotel, close proximity to everything in Kamakura. Train station is less than a 5 minute walk and all of the shopping is near by. You won’t be disappointed. I gave a 3 form amenities because there are only 2 washing machines with built in dryers and there was always a line to use them.
