The room was ok. There was a light that would not shut off due to a broken sensor. Finally got replaced on the third day after a second call to the desk. The hallway constantly smelled of smoke from a variety of sources. The room itself smelled like burnt popcorn, but eventually that smell dissipated.

Terrific hotel. Will stay here on future trips to Milwaukee. Beautiful building with nice clean rooms. The standard room had a little kitchenette with a stove, and was very comfortable. I ended up needing to park on the street because the lot was full, but I had no problem finding a spot on the block. Staff was very kind and helpful.

This is an Historic Gem in Milwaukee. It is steps from Lake Michigan and while in an older neighborhood, close to many of the sites that Milwaukee has to offer. The rooms are ideal for extended stays. Even the standard rooms have equipped kitchenettes with stove, refrigerator, sink and microwave. Larger rooms and suites have full kitchens.The rooms are large and have a lot of closet space. The staff is very friendly and pleasant to interact with. Another plus is that there is a restaurant and bar attached. While we didn't visit this trip we have in previous stays and found the food good and reasonably priced. It is our Milwaukee go to and I think it is a property worth checking out.

Loved the stay! Loved the vintage feel, the amenities, coffee and little kitchen. Location is amazing. The only thing is the walls are very thin. Heard some dude railing his girl next door for an hour from midnight to 1am. I might as well been in the damn room with them. Sandwiched my head between two pillows, which were comfy, but does not stop sound. Wish I didn’t know that they went three full rounds but hey, walls are not an easy fix. I got my revenge tho. Woke up for the marathon at 5am and blasted my music as loud as I could. Anyways, def coming back again next year!

This was supposed to be a one bedroom suite for 5 people. The assumption would be that all 5 people have a bed, you would think. We had two couples and my father, who had to get a roll away. This room is comfortable for 4. We also could only get parking for two vehicles. So a bit of false advertising. Otherwise the stay was fine.

For an old building, it was kept very clean and they updated a lot of things within the room. Had a hard time getting into the room, we were not used to a real key. The room was equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion, a hair dryer, toilet paper, towels and wash cloths. It had a few pots, things to cook with, silverware, plates, coffee cups, glass cups and wine glasses. Soap for dishes, but only one towel. They could have left a roll of paper towels, had a spill and only one kitchen towel to clean everything. The room had an old heater which definitely worked. All too well, it was extremely warm in there even after we turned it off.

Staff were nice and very helpful. Parking was super easy. It’s a really cute place with an amazing location; walkable to the lake, the art museum, coffeehouses and restaurants. Was startled by an unfortunate visitor when showering, right before checking out. They just need to have an exterminator do some work.
