「After some of the negative comments I had read, I was honestly a little worried, but I had NO complaints. The hotel is beautiful, the air conditioning is frigid (it was 105 degrees F outside), the room, positively sumptuous. The dinner was great. The breakfast was simple but perfect. The parking lot is around the corner, but safe. And it’s centrally located.」

「We felt very welcome by the young man who received us upon check in. Then everything seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. I was told only one cleaner to clean the hotel. Everything you asked seemed to be asking for a favour. No service at all and definitely not a 4 star. More like an inn than a hotel. Breakfast wasn’t good neither. Only the location. 」

「cité comme un 5*. en fait c'est un 5* pour le site qui en jette, et un 2* pour toutes les prestations hôtelières. - vieillot, - très mal entretenu (toute la zone de la piscine par exemple), - air conditionné = 1 appareil pas dimensionné pour la pièce et faisant un boucan terrible, - ne cherchez pas à y dîner un dimanche soir, impossible, - pour la piscine 5 malheureux transats, pour les suivants étalez vos serviettes sur une partie herbeuse, ou sur le pourtour de la piscine, en briques plus ou...

Two good restaurants in the village of Assignan including a great breakfast.. many others within a short driving distance. The cave is an architectural gem with a thoughtful caring winemaker at the helm. Delicious!」
