"Great historical hotel, the rooms are small but comfortable, with excellent views of town and river. The trains rumbles through periodically, but part of the charm, right?Otherwise, nice and quiet for night sleeping. excellent local hiking nearby. The Nordic breakfast place next to the lobby offers delicious regional taste and coffee. Also, I was able to park for almost free(meter pkg) for overnight on the street per city regs and rules. Awesome brewpubs and wineries close by too!"
"Excellent place to stay, nice river views and quiet. unfortunately, the power to the whole city of hood river went out for several hours, but not the fault of the hotel! I would definitely stay here again."
"Place is super dated totally not worth the price. People out front in your space. Got accused of being loud and our dog barking (absolute lie) Was the people behind us dog was barking all night (i think they left it in the room) Also the people next to us were super loud we were just laughing. Staff is horrible except one gal we helped remove a squatter. Will never stay again. We left a day early and stayed in Ellensburg. "
Postcard Cabins Mount Adams, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy
8/10 Good
"The cabin was adorable. I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t in the forest but was rather right up against a cow pasture. That wasn’t a problem but the photos make it look really forested. The service and amenities were both great and we would stay again. We were a same day booking so all things considered it was a fantastic experience. "
"Modern design and ver clean. Even the corners of the shower and along the floor baseboards. Bed was shocking very comfortable as well. The negative was the breakfast. Staff did not have food prepared timely leaving a group of us waiting. Pancakes were unavailable because the machine was also broken. We used this as a stop over for the hood river railway experience"
"Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Slept very well! Room temperature was easy to regulate and we were able to open a window for fresh air.
That said -and I hate to be negative - but my husband and I agreed that the love seat in room was likely the most uncomfortable piece of furniture we'd ever sat upon and a coffee table or end table near that love seat would have been quite useful."
