"We really enjoyed our stay at the Lightwell. The spa is amazing, the staff friendly and helpful, and the rooms clean. We also loved that there is a lounge, a rooftop bar, and the hotel is conveniently located. Just be aware that the rooms are smaller than usual and there are no refrigerators in the rooms. But this is our new favorite place to stay in Hood River!"

"Good: amazing views with a balcony room, comfy bed, and very helpful and friendly staff.
Bad: missing basic amenities, like coffee and cream in the room and working internet. Couldn't even load Google search most the time - speed test said 0.1 maps dowload/upload speed.
Ended up having to leave the hotel early to stay somewhere with reasonable internet as we work while traveling."

"Great property with stellar views next to an iconic hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and parking was easy. No elevator so keep that in mind! Easy access to neighboring hotels and downtown. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. I felt the rate was reasonable. We usually stay on the other side of Hood River so this was a fun change. We’ll be back! "

"Room was very reasonably priced and clean. We have stayed here twice and we love the buildings location and old charm! That being said, my only real complaint is that they need some type of air conditioning…it is listed on their website but that is not true at all. We have visited in October and April, both cooler months at night, but even with the cooler night temperatures, the rooms were terribly hot. The first room we stayed in the window wouldn’t open at all. The second room the windows did open but no screens and bugs were flying in…they do provide fans but I guess I just prefer to sleep a little cooler. "
