The district features over 70 different galleries, institutions and collections, as well as one of the largest outdoor street art installations in the world. Join the famous Second Saturday Art Walk and participate in this exciting arts community in a formerly industrial neighborhood.

Stroll along the avenues and streets, discovering galleries and studios and exploring the vast interiors of warehouses, factories and arts complexes. Wynwood Arts District is home to museums, collection showrooms, several art complexes and studio collectives and art fairs. Small galleries are dotted around every block, regularly exhibiting the newest contemporary artworks from Florida and beyond.

Wander along Wynwood Walls, a collection of open-air murals featuring work by some of the world’s most famous street artists. See work by Shepard Fairey, who designed the Hope poster for President Obama’s 2008 campaign.

Hit the shops to discover Wynwood Arts District’s fantastic local fashion labels and retail stores.Stop by one of the district’s cafés to re-energize with a cup of hot coffee and spot ever-changing street art on the exterior walls.

Join the Second Saturday Art Walk, an exciting community event held on the second Saturday of each month. The walking tour travels through the district and features special events, studio visits, music performances and refreshments. Food tours are another way to explore this lively area.

As night falls, grab a drink at a local bar or restaurant before heading to one of the Wynwood Arts District cinemas or performance spaces for a show.

Wynwood Arts District is located in the Wynwood neighborhood of downtown Miami. Entry to the district is free but some museums and performance spaces charge admission fees. Opening hours vary between institutions. Visit during an international art fair such as Art Basel Miami Beach to experience Wynwood Arts District in full swing.

Do not stay here. It’s in a slum. I didn’t end up staying. I got up and left. I ran to the nearest top dollar hotel I could find with a room. Your safety is not worth the cost of saving money.
