Won’t go back
The staff didn't say the car park need pay the fee, but they charged actually. And the room was quite noisy!

離墨爾本市區有段距離 但電車站在附近 只是要坐比較多站 離st kilda beach很近 建議去走走唷

To be honest, I don’t know why this hotel can be ranked as 4 stars. It’s like a 2/3 stars hotel. The hotel is old, the car park spaces are tight, insufficient lighting in the room and there is no lift. The photos in Expedia are definitely after editing. I will not suggest this hotel to my friends.

This room was filthy upon checking in. Had to wait for it to be cleaned and it was still dirty when I went in afterwards. The tv did not work for the two nights I stayed there even though I complained to the front desk 3 times, they did nothing about it. Wasn’t even offered an apology, just ‘we will pass on the feedback’. Very disappointing and would never recommend anyone to stay here.

We have regular hit and miss at the Crest. This stay was ok but a bit of a miss, not wholly the hotel’s fault. The neighbouring balcony, quite close, partied to 4:30am, the room smelt like men’s after shave had been sprayed to cover a damp smell, and we had to turn off the fridge coz it was so noisy and the milk was frozen! We turned it back on in the morning but wonder if this was why the room smelt. The bathroom was a bit ‘manky’ with grout that needed a good scrubbing. The bed was comfy, the room was spacious and the staff were lovely as always. The price was cheap but if this had been my only stay at this hotel I wouldn’t have returned. It is not a 4star hotel. More a 3 for this stay.

Bed was okay. Bathroom left a lot to be desired (mould in shower, the shower head bracket was loose). There's no sound protection with the room next door so I enjoyed the neighbours loud conversation till about 4.30am. New A/C was handy as it wasn't working last time I stayed here. Staff are great 10/10 service but the rooms need a big refurb.

Great stay. Neighbours a little rowdy both nights around 10pm for 5 mins but other than that, silent and clean. with big bed and big bath sheets. The only critique is the doona with big ink stains should have been retired from service. Otherwise a terrific stay.

We use this property regularly. The one constant frustration is the time it takes to go through the checking process, often 5 to 10 minutes while staff fiddle on the computer then photocopy and scan driver’s license and credit card, all for a prepaid room and prepaid parking. Is this some sort of identity theft racket??? It happens every time we check in! It can’t be that we’re not known to their system after at least a dozen visits over the past year or so.

Very affordable, comfortable accommodation. Very clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly. Onsite parking available at your own cost however the parking situation is not idea putting it nicely. Should not be charging so much to park overnight in a very tight, high risk of accidental damage and quite expensive.

had to pay extra for a 3rd guest who did not receive any bedding options then had to pay $50 per night for an uncomfortable roll out bed. there was hair all through the bed and stains all over bedding. this was fixed. had to ask for a towel for the 3 person multiple times aswell as a roll of toilet paper. location was good and staff were friendly and offered beverage as on them for the inconveniences of the stains but we would have preferred just receiving adequate supplies for 3rd guest.

i have stayed here a couple of times before in a much bigger and better room for a lot less money, this room was small, and showing obvious signs off wear, Paint all over the alarm clock marks all over the walls cornice cracking vent in bathroom coming off chipped tiles carpet pulling up and frayed near bathroom all this for nearly $500 not happy nor impressed, will not stay here again , will find a new hotel for my Melbourne visits from not on

the room we stayed in was clean and room service had kept it extra clean in the morning. the staff was nice and approachable, the property was quiet and easily accessible by tram from the city.

The room was filthy with massive amounts of mold in the bathroom and dust all over the benches. The reception staff took a scan of my credit card to store in their computer as well as my photo ID. There is no requirement for that information to be stored and it allows anyone with access to their computer to steal my details. Poor service disgusting room that was filthy. I took pictures of the state of teh room as it was so bad.

Middle of the road hotel. Better options close by.
Room was quite small. Bathroom was tiny. Bed was comfortable enough. Very noisy when people were exiting early in the morning. We felt Crest on Park was a better hotel. We won't be staying at Crest on Barkly again.

Ok basic hotel not 4 star!!! Needs work done!
Not the best hotel. A bit run down in need of some work. Shower terrible pressure. Soft pillows. Room wasnt clean clean. Windows so dirty couldnt see out of. The hotel says at check in takes a holding fee for deposit incase of damages. We asked if money is taken off card to advoud card charges. We were told no its just a holding fee. Not true. Hotel took money off and hols it for 5 to 7 days !!!! Shocking in this day in age. To hold onto peoples money. When discussed at checkout , lady on reception said this is normal for hotels here. No its not we travled all around the world and have never had a hotel take extra money and keep it for a week after we leave!!! Wont be back and wouldnt recommend.

Checked out a day and a half early. Room was dirty on arrival, guest in next room was up all night being sick and making weird noises and some not so friendly drunk guest tried to snatch my child’s pizza. On checking out was not even asked if there was a problem by the desk. Very disappointed
