「It was basic accommodations for one night. Pros: very clean, quiet, the windows do open to let in fresh air. Close to great walks along the river and restaurants. Cons: no hair dryer in the room, no extra blankets, pillows, etc. The sink is outside the shower/toilet room and a large mirror on the wall reflects everything the person at the sink is doing. The room is definitely not suitable to share with anyone but a partner. Also, the sink is a bar sink with a very large kitchen type spray...

「We absolutely loved our stay at the Rockland Talbot House. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very, very comfortable. The property is a beautiful, well kept house from the 1800's with lots of character and original pieces. The Inn has a wonderful coffee machine with hot lattes, cereal, oatmeal, muffins and other pastries for breakfast as well as fresh fruit, juices and yogurt. 「Breakfast was amazing, the view from our room was great. When we got there a staff member walked in on us within ten minutes of being in the room which made us a little uncomfortable. As we were leaving the next day a different staff member asked us if we checked out the minute we left out someone went into our room at 9:30am. It felt a bit rushed. 「I have stayed in many historic spas/resorts and this one left me disappointed. Staff appeared brand new, were unable to answer basic questions and had no idea how to get the answers. Basic items were non-existent like a directory of services in the room, items to go with the coffee like sugar or stirrers, lighting in the living room area to even read by. They were pushing boat rides but no one could tell us where the boat would go once we paid $30 per person??? I’m hoping it was just the start...
