until 1 a.m. hordes of moped riders with tuned exhausts circled the hotel. Sleep was out of the question. I pay to sleep, not to listen to the noise

Tres bon rapport qualité prix

Hotel tres bien situé pour aller à la découverte de Medan à pied. La chambre est petite mais tres propre et bien équipée. Dommage qu il n y ait pas de fenêtre. La salle de restaurant et petit déjeuner est tres agréable. Petit déjeuner a l'Indonésienne.

I like the friendly services and the uniqueness of the room although it is small but very cozy for me and my friend. Our sink was blocked, but the the worker repaired it very fast. Thanks Kama Hotel, definitely will stay here if visiting Medan again!

The quad room is really big and comfortable. It is on the main road and can be noisy but very convenient to travel around the city.

Comfortable and close to the station. Inconvenient to have to pay a 100,000 deposit on arrival.

One of the better budget hotel in medan

The location is in Kesawan, opposite is the famous tip top restaurant and just 50m away is the attraction Tjong A Fie Mansion. Walk a further bit down and you are at Merdeka Walk, the counterpoint is a bridge away. Roads are always dusty here, so take care of yourself. Behind the hotel is the fish market, selling all kind of stuffs. There are 3 chinese coffeeshops too and they serve very nice food, albeit a bit high price for Medan's standard

Kesan-kesan menginap di Kesawan Hotel, Medan

Hotelnya cukup bersih, dekat dengan lapangan merdeka dan stasiun KA Medan. Jalan-jalan pagi di lapangan merdeka cukup berkesan. Disekitar lapangan ada alat2 olah raga walaupun sudaah ada beberapa yang tidak berfungsi. Mengenai hotelnya sendiri, untuk kelas standard, perlu dipikirkan pengadaan westafel untuk cuci tangan, cuci muka, sikaat gigi dan lain sebagainya. Pegawai hotelnya cukup ramah dan bersahabat. Terima kasih untuk layanan anda selama kami menginap di Kesawan Hotel.

Quick and efficient check in

I was quite surprised with how quickly and efficiently the check in was. I was asked for my passport and a 50,000 rph deposit. The bell boy (man actually) was on hand to pull my roller douffle bag to 4th floor. I gave him a 5,000 rph tip and he wasn't very impressed. I was travelling alone so the room was just right size for me. A double bed, no windows, no sink. The room was clean enough. The bathroom was quite small, even for my 5 ft frame I had to sit at an angle on the toilet (w.c. ) The counter staff were helpfull but didn't go out of the way to help. The lobby was not smoke free.

Great location

Easy access to shopping, food and tourist place, some of which are within easy walking distance. Directly located opposite Tip Top Restaurant which is a great place for all types of food - Indonesian, Chinese and Western as well as ice cream in a wonderful ambience of yester years with a band at night at reasonable price. Friendly and helpful staff. However, they were short of staff and cleaning of room was not done during our stay of 2 nights and 1 day. Nevertheless, they supplied clean towels upon request.

I arrived to this hotel only to sleep one night and go to the airport in Medan. The room was really dirty, the sheets, the walls, averything was dirty.
