"Clean hotel, nice employees, but there wasn’t a cart to be had for our luggage. I asked for handicap accessibility because my husband is disabled. We were given the room at the very end of the hall. He walks with a cane, but only for a short while. I asked for a wheelchair and was told there wasn’t one at the hotel. The problem was observed by the woman checking us in, but she offered no help. "

"This hotel is our favorite pet-friendly hotel in downtown Durham. During this last visit, I had inadvertently double booked myself a room directly with the hotel and on Expedia. The check-in host was so kind to cancel the room booked directly with the hotel without penalties. I certainly was not expecting that and figured I'd be paying for two rooms due to my oversight. Thank you 21c hotel. That made my day, and I will certainly return. "

"I would not recommend this place unless you are on a really tight budget. The only nice thing about it was the kind person who checked us in. The room was dingy and smelled faintly of smoke. The smoke alarm was chirping and I had to borrow tools to disconnect it so we could sleep. There was constant noise throughout the night from other guests, and the whole place smelled like weed."
