「The air conditioner worked great, but was pretty loud, The room was very clean and the bed is super comfortable. The staff was excellent, very accomodating and the drinks were great. Our view of the river was awesome! We will definately be back!」

「Gruene River Hotel + Retreat is a FANTASTIC place for the complete "hotel experience." Each room is individually decorated, and it's a joy to make little discoveries in the decor that contribute to the overall theme. We've stayed in the 1776 Room, The Vineyard and Cozy Cabin, and all were fantastic. The breakfast is first rate, they serve free beer and wine for happy hour, and the property is just beautiful, with its limestone and multi-level deck where you can watch the river flow and see deer...

「The only good thing I can say about this property, is the breakfast was good. It's a shame , because this property has potential with a great location if only they would spend some money to update the property. It's outdated the furniture has probably been there since day one with stains all over the chairs and the beds are horrible! There is a musty order to the rooms and really needs a good cleaning. I'm sorry to say, I would not stay there again.」

「The room was perfectly fine. I would prefer to have soap available close to the sink - not in a container on the wall. No major problems... I thought the price was a bit high for equivalent lodging - I would stay again only if there was a 'special' -」

「Stayed for a quick two night trip to float the river. Our room was very clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We didn't use the pool but it was right outside our window. Looked very clean and lit up nicely in the evening. Shower pressure was good. Front desk was friendly and fast checking us in at 1am. Would stay again.」
