「We loved our weekend at Fox Den, which has the best mountain views. We didn't see any wildlife, but they are said to have bobcat, deer, elk, turkey, and even a moose family in the area! We'll just have to go back again to see the animals ;) The house is amazing and the area/property is very quiet - just what we were looking for. It's ideal for families and couples looking for a relaxing getaway. We can't recommend this destination enough!!! 」

「Proximity to Monarch Ski area and pass was very convenient. Hot tub was nice to come back to after skiing. The art and decor was local history and unique. We used the small kitchen and enjoyed the use of the stove, oven and microwave. pots and utensils to cook for four. The bunk beds in the hall were firm, but good for smaller children.」

「This is a nice place to stay. It is right on the main highway through Salida, so everything is close by. The room was clean and quiet, and it has been remodeled with a nice retro style. The breakfast is very good - better than most in this price range. The staff are friendly and helpful. Good all around.」

「Had stayed before, but due to a blizzard at home we stayed safe. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The refill of the toilet tank was a tad noisy, but short term. Breakfast was very nice. Good to know a clean quiet economical place is close by.」

「The King Cottage is a great place to stay. Would be better if the fence was fixed to make a private yard where dog could roam. Needs a small table and chairs, though. I recommend getting rid of the recliner and putting in a small table with two chairs.」
