「Good location right off the main road, comfortable beds, good breakfast, and good staff. The breakfast area was smaller, but it added to the quaint feeling and allowed conversations between guests. 」

「Salida Inn and Monarch Suites- was half the price of other low to medium motels in the area, including Buena Vista and Leadville as well as Salida. So I expected it to be not so great- but we were pleasantly surprised. I cannot speak for the "Monarch Suites"- they did not look too impressive from the outside- like mini cabins in the parking lot. But we stayed in a regular room at the Inn and it was very nice in every way- clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious, good location, very friendly staff. 」

「Mick—at the front desk— is a a true gift. A super ambassador for the property and for Salida. (My wife and I sat in the lobby two nights playing cards.) Mick made everyone feel welcome throughout. There are some WiFi issues that the owners need to work on. Otherwise, this is our favorite place to stay in Salida.」

「The room was very spacious and clean. Finding a place to stay as a family with 4 kids isn't always easy, but our room had a king bed, pull out couch/bed, and full size bunk beds. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be staying here the next time we come through. Only complaint was that it wasn't ready at check in time, but the staff was very nice and reassuring while we waited. The strawberry waffles at breakfast are just the icing on the cake for this hotel!」

「I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The pool was a bonus, warm and relaxing, not cold like most hotel pools. It’s a not in the downtown area. I chose this hotel because it is a short walk to a coffee shop, a brewery, and the Hot Springs Aqua Center.」
