「The room was clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was good, not a huge selection but enough choice to accommodate most people. The Oakland is in a very convenient location. Saturday night they have a live band which can be noisy if you want the windows open. The bar was busy and the atmosphere friendly the band when we stayed was very good. The joining walls in room are thin, we could here the tv and hairdryer from next door. 」

「Room was nice but in need of update, bed base was ripped and cushions were stale and in need of a wash. It was good to have a fully stocked fridge Bathroom was lovely and a good size. Breakfast was good but disappointing to have to pay for fresh coffee. The coffee in the table flasks was not the best. Overall hotel is nice and I have stayed here many times but could do with a few tweaks here and there.」
