「Clearly a very nice hotel to stay in with very helpful staff. The room I was offered was in the courtyard on the ground floor, and small. When I voiced my concern, the staff immediately changed to a very nice room in the mail building. Breakfast also was excellent. Overall, a great experience.」Karel

「We had an absoloutely wonderful two night stay with our toddler at Cave Auger. The upstairs family apartment was perfect for us , and we were particularly grateful for the excellent air con during one of the heatwaves earlier this year. The pool was great - warm and immaculately clean.
Stéphane was the most welcoming host - and we particularly enjoyed the dinner on the terrace that was all local produce, and it came with our own little barrel of delicious wine. Breakfast similarly...

「Hotel is situated a little tucked away from the main area, but it’s a small town and easy to get around. We were not able to check in before 3pm, and were asked to ring the buzzer every time to be let in. It was a little confusing, but we managed. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was luxurious. We enjoyed our stay, but we also barely spent any time in it as there is so much to do around Saumur. Everything is within walking distance, even the train station (although...

「Lovely spot, staff excellent, homemade, organic and locally sourced breakfast. Lacked an evening restaurant and options in Chinon in October were a little limited as off season.
Great location to explore Chinon wines and Cremant near Saumur.
Fontevraud-l’Abbaye was an interesting place to visit.」mrs helen l

「Many things were not acceptable in regards to our room. The windows did not open fully due to the curtains blocking them and it was stifling hot. and when we tried to manipulate them, we were afraid they would break.
The daily housekeeping was unacceptable - coffee cups were left dirty in the room, the bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned at all, and in the bathroom the windows did not shut properly. The water from the shower went all over the floor. In the middle of our stay, we found a...Amie
