Good traditional hotel. It takes 15 mns to get to the castle of Chinon. There are good restaurants 10 mns away by foot. Nice breakfast. Rude welcoming though.

Historisches Haus mit besonderem Ambiente

Nette Begrüßung, lauschige Plätze im Garten, authentische Einrichtung, schönes Zimmer, bequeme Betten, etwas hellhörig, gutes Frühstück aus lokalen Produkten ohne unnötig breite Vielfalt.

Seriously wonderful. Clean, inviting, and helpful staff. While it doesn't have all the frills and amenities of a resort, this is easy to recommend in a town like chinon. Charming and simply delightful.

Great decor, wonderful owners who were extremely helpful and also of great cheer. Great location and wonderfully maintained, especially considering that it was new in the 1400's. The room was clean, neat and actually had sheets and a blanket rather than the usual smothering comforter that pins one to the mattress that is ever present in Europe.
