「The grounds and the winery here at Hessenland are beautiful. We loved being able to walk around and explore the gardens and lovely seating areas. The outdoor pool was a refreshing treat during this heat wave. The food and drink was fabulous and the staff wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful. We found the inn itself dated and tired looking. The rooms and sitting areas could use with an update and refresh like the rest of the property has had. On the whole though we enjoyed our stay.」

「Beautiful property! My fiancé and I extremely enjoyed staying here while we had a christmas party in St. Mary's. The rooms/each building are kept so nice and the beds are so comfortable! 10/10 experience. Parking is right beside which ever building you are in, easy and short walk to your room (especially nice in the winter as it was a chilly one)!」

「The room was so clean and so nicely laid out. The view out of the balcony was breathtaking. The restaurant adjacent did require a car to get to but was fantastic and I also recommend. I found the location ideal and will definitely recommend and stay here again! 」

「The place is good, surrounded by several retirement houses, and located next to Western University. However, it takes a 5 minute walk uphill form the nearest bus station, and it is a bit difficult to locate. The facility is fine except the heating is not functioning, it was too dry and too hot, in which I have to leave the window open throughout the night for making myself a little more comfortable. 」

「Shower doors weren't cleaned completely but the rest of the premises are fantastic! Great location. The host was more than accommodating and prompt and they were thoughtful enough to leave 2 robes for our comfort, which was greatly appreciated. My only suggestion: I get that it's winter and I'm a Canadian, but re: the hot tub is to maybe install a wall of some kind/wrap the 3 sides in winter to block the wind. I still enjoyed it in the blizzard! I also noticed that there wasn't a spare blanket...
