"Dated, falling apart, sad…. But large bedrooms, and comfy beds. away from town but close to beach. I thought it was abandoned. It had a water view and a pool ( peeling floor). No hot water, poorly equipped kitchen. "

"Great beach access and the food was good. Not a ton of options but it was good for a few days. The pool is large and warm and not too busy. Mainly locals take advantage of this establishment, which I liked because I could practice my Spanish. If you don’t speak any Spanish, you will have a difficult time here. The room had a full fridge with a freezer and water that was easily accessible. No one was ‘servíng’ drinks around the pool, so you have to bring your own food and drinks to the pool and beach. A lovely place to unwind for a few days."

"Hot tubs and pool could use more frequent cleaning. Front desk staff could be more attentive to guests vs visiting with friends. Construction project next door was very loud and starts early in the morning. Staff did nothing to quiet loud gatherings ests in common areas late at night. Housekeeping was excellent. "My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is slightly off the beaten path, which made it quiet and enjoyable for us. We walked to the beach and to “downtown” San Poncho every day. The restaurant at the hotel was wonderful we enjoyed amazing fresh fruit and delicious coffee every morning and we had dinner there one night as well, all were 10/10. The staff was lovely and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again. "

While the team did their best under difficult circumstances and graciously comped one night, we felt there could have been more proactive guidance—particularly from the concierge—around support options such as travel insurance or alternative arrangements, given the significant added expense.
