"Only downside with our visit was only 1 of the 3 lifts was working. With it being easter weekend the hotel was very busy and we had to wsit a long time for the 1 lift working "

"The room was very clean, but very tired. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls the lights in the bathroom were flickering loads and took ages to turn on. The bath was very chipped and when you ran the taps the water leaked all across the top of the bath. The bed had lovely bedding but the bed was way too soft and ended up with snacking back in the morning. Room very hot as well."

"Relaxing weekend break with friends, food and drinks were great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only 1 lift was operational which was frustrating especially when your bedroom is on the top floor."

"On arrival at 5.45pm was told that would need to eat at 6pm as was too busy later on, 2nd evening was a curry event so had to travel out both evenings for food. Was told breakfast was u till 10am however it finished at 9.30am. Was told checkout on the Saturday was 10am however it was 11am on weekend, also housekeeping entered our room at 9.10am to clean we hadn’t even had our breakfast delivered which was due at 9.45 and was cold. "

"Plenty of parking but watch out for huge pothle to the side and at front. Rooms spacious, bed comfortable, clean bedding.Heated with radiator. Big tv screen ,normal channels. Breakfast delicious and plentiful ,freshly cooked.Also choice of pastries and cereals Didnt like coffee from a flask though. Ive stayed here many times,its convenient for me visiting family.The staff are really lovely and so friendly and helpful.No complaints there. Great having a Hungry horse restaurant attached to hotel. However come on Green King ,this place is looking tired.A few new furnishings and shower curtains would do wonders and not cost the earth. Shower curtain was extremly grubby,didnt want it anywhere near me! Chair was stained with "something!" Didnt want to sit on it. And a large crack in the smoke detector. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job and this is not a reflection on how hard they work."
