Unique and fun accommodation

Safe and quiet area. Close to the Oceanarium which the kids enjoyed. AC is a lifesaver in the heatwave. Nice complimentary Nespresso coffee. Would be nice if wine opener is provided.

The boat we stayed was clean and big with outdoor small dinning area at the back of the deck. The room was super clean and with AC and the boat is stable and doesn’t feel like living on the boat! It’s a prefect experience for both of us.

We were not sure what to expect when we booked a houseboat. The communication from the company was excellent, and the houseboat was lovely. It was so well appointed and in excellent condition. It was much more spacious than we thought it would be.

Die Unterkunft war für mich und meine Familie sehr schön.Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist eigentlich auch super, es gibt alles was man brauch in der Nähe und Dank uber ist man auch schnell im Zentrum von Lissabon. Das einzige Problem waren die vielen lauten Partygäste der angrenzenden Bars in der Nacht, es war sehr laut nachts, schlafen konnten wir erst ab 2-3 Uhr.

The accommodation was very clean, and the person at reception, Rui, was also nice and helpful. What we didn’t enjoy at all was the fact that this is a houseboat, and unfortunately, among the several boats there, ours didn’t have any chairs or an outdoor table. To enjoy the outside area, we had to sit on the floor, while other guests on nearby boats had tables and chairs. It didn’t feel very nice to be on the ground while others were comfortably seated right next to us. Another thing that could be improved is communication with the reception. Since the reception is located outside and quite far, it would be great if each boat had a phone to contact them directly. Otherwise, you have to go outside regardless of the weather, or pay for a phone call — which can be expensive if you’re using an international number. For the price of the stay, I think that would be a valuable addition for guests. Apart from that, it was a nice experience. The boat itself was comfortable and beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable too. The view wasn’t the best, as part of it looked directly at a wall and the marina reception area, but overall, it was a good stay.

We loved our stay at The Tagus Houseboat. The boat was very clean and spacious and well equipped. We only had one night here and I wish we had stayed longer: The location was great and close to restaurants and cafes.

We chose this houseboat stay on our last night in Lisbon & we are so glad we did. Our stay was probably one of the most memorable of our entire trip. The accommodations were superb & just as described. We arrived early & the manager Rui offered to store our luggage until our boat was ready for check-in. This allowed us to explore nearby & we ended up visiting the Lisbon Aquarium, which I also highly recommend. Rui even gave us a 15% coupon for admission. Once checked in, we ended up sharing a bottle of wine & chatting with our neighbor Blayne in the next boat over who was staying there long term. Our only regret is that we only had one night in the houseboat before we had to catch our flight back to the US.

Our whole family loved our one-week stay on one of the hotel’s houseboats. It was truly a unique and memorable experience for the kids. We especially appreciated the setting around the marina – clean, safe, and secure thanks to the gated access to the pontoon. The houseboat itself was spotless, spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. The staff were discreet, friendly, and always available during service hours to help with anything we needed. Because the boat is moored between a building and the pontoon, the water stays perfectly calm – we didn’t feel any movement at all and no one experienced seasickness. The marina comes alive in the evening, which we found very pleasant. It was nice to have bars and terraces nearby for a drink at night and to enjoy breakfast outside in the morning. There’s also a Pingo Doce supermarket just a 5–10 minute walk away, and the lively Parque das Nações area is about 20 minutes on foot. Although the location is a bit outside Lisbon’s city center, getting around was very easy with Uber – fast, affordable, and convenient. The airport is only 10–15 minutes away by car, which is a big plus. Overall, it was a wonderful stay that we would highly recommend to any family. We will definitely be coming back!
