This hotel was a lovely surprise. Set in its own grounds and set in a nice village, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The hotel is a pleasant mix of old and modern. The bedroom was larger than the normal chaîne hotels, and the restaurant was large and well furnished. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate in coming back again.
So pleased to find a splendid stopover near Calais. They made us so welcome and the food was great. They get a lot of repeat business apparently, we’re not surprised! Lovely room, very quiet for sleeping. We will definitely go there again if we get the chance.
We have used Chateau des Tourelles several times as our starting or finishing point for the long drive south and will keep coming back. Friendly staff, great location and lovely food.
We have stayed in 11 different properties over the last 5 weeks, most airbnb but a couple of hotels, between Oban in Scotland, and Lake Trasimone, Umbria, Italy. This hotel is by far the worst experience of them all, even though it was one of the most expensive. We booked a standard double, which was on the top floor with a small window. When we arrived, the lady who checked us in couldn't have been more disinterested if she tried. The towels: I have bought thicker kitchen paper... The lift sometimes worked, sometimes didn't: the morning we left (at 0645) my husband, while taking down the luggage, got stuck between floors, which he took some time to resolve. The lift made such a noise, I'd be surprised if the whole of that side of the hotel wasn't woken. We stayed 2 nights, and apart from pulling up the sheet and emptying the bins, I'm quite sure nothing else was done to service the room (the bath and sink had NOT been cleaned). The bath, which had a hand-held shower, did not even have a shower curtain, so showering was not an option (in the mid 30sC heat). I will never stay here again - even though we have a friend who lives very close by - and I would most definitely NOT recommend it to any of my friends.
Has a nice garden.
Shower controls were broken and shower floor slippy
Food exceptional for French hotel.

Great location for the Channel Tunnel. But if you’re expecting a chateaux in the French “Loire” style you’ll be disappointed. It’s a big house ‘logis’ but it’s fine. Bit dated and must have been beautiful at one time. Sadly the renovation has included uPVC windows which rather took the edge off it for me. Restaurant is very good though and the staff are friendly.
Great hospitality, The staff went out of their way to make us welcome and cater for our needs. The restaurant is great quality and reasonably priced. Not much to do locally if you don't have transport but further afield there are 2nd world war museums and decent beaches
A nice place to stay for the weekend. Very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast . Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so couldn't explore the outside facilities
ontbijt weinig origineel, beperkte keuze
