「Do not stay here. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and the owner was incompetent - there was no apparent cause but for around an hour it kept tripping again so eventually I tried (without success) to sleep in my car. The hotel was dirty, no-one was available to help/serve breakfast etc, items such as milk in the kitchen fridge were out of date. It is a very old unmodernised property.」

The food is exquisite, good suppliers and a talented chef make any meal you order an absolute delight. The choice of beers and ciders definately hit the spot and are excellently kept. 「The breakfast menu was cooked to order and a great choice. The staff are wonderful and work hard, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the Lundy room which was well equipped, and a decent size, plenty of storage. We would definitely stay again. 」
