"Nice room and very friendly staff in a chilled setting. Great access for competent skiers to get straight back to the hotel. The spa was also nice (especially the sauna) after all day on the slopes. But the food was not good. We took the half board option on arrival before realising there was almost nothing vegetarian on the menu (the risotto that claimed to be vegetarian definitely had animal rennet in). We weren't allowed to cancel our half board ("hotel rules"), so we had to pay in full, but ended up eating elsewhere most of the time and felt pretty ripped off. The meals we did have were poor quality. (Congratulations on producing the worst margarita pizza any of us could remember!!) I would enjoy staying again, but would make plans to eat elsewhere. "
"A great three star budget option that we really enjoyed. Optimised for groups with loud music playing we loved it. Not to be confused with an elegant five star place - but nor is the price. Superb staff and good solid food.
Only slight negative was the breakfast buffet being almost empty after 9am despite being open until 10am"
"In case you are looking for a ski resort that allows you to access in front of your door - this is it. Also great for families. Lots of international tourists, and offerings, thus, not very authentic French experience. Rather dated, and bit noisy. "
"Fantastic place, really friendly staff, excellent room with nice shower and comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend this place. Quick to the train station, only a few minutes away and not far from the funicular (which, if you're skiing runs before the ski lifts so from the hotel you can still get first lifts onto your mountain). Bourg is a lovely place."
"Last year I got food poisoning which cost me a days skiing and a very uncomfortable night with bouts of vomiting. Thinking it would be a one off we booked again due mainly to the fantastic location. This year we were two couples and all four of us got sick to varying degrees with three of us unable to ski for a day. The hotel staff reported that other guests and staff were sick but that it was “stomach flu” that was in the resort. (Last year they claimed that it was gastroenteritis that was in the resort) We had four other friends on the holiday that we skied and socialised with who were staying elsewhere. They had no issues with sickness. I have had over forty skiing holidays in the Alps and have been sick twice, both in this hotel. This hotel clearly has a problem and the staff and management are denying it. We will not be back. "
