I booked this hostel through Hostels.com and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I never received any check-in instructions or communication from the property. When I arrived, there were no staff members around and no clear way to get assistance.
Since I was traveling from Australia, I didn’t have a New Zealand phone number, so I had to ask a stranger to lend me their phone just to call the manager. Overall, I don’t recommend this place for anyone who doesn’t have a local phone or an easy way to contact the property.
