Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is right on the lakefront with beautiful views. The breakfast buffet had lots of options for vegetarians as well.
Didn’t even need to leave the hotel for my wee break, had everything I needed- pool, spa, sauna, gym beautiful and very scenic walking tracks, food and drinks. Super friendly staff. The best wee break
Breakfast was cracken and good, team was helpful, pillows sucked, feather down ok but uncomfortable, rooms tired and same as 10 years ago, but nice area, parking suks as usual
Everything was great except the bed and pillows. Our bed at home is memory foam, not springs and feather pillows. Otherwise beautiful resort, helpful friendly people and a huge buffet breakfast.
We think the breakfast is okay. In the past, barista coffee was included but not in this trip. But the brewed coffee is so good. We didn't like the way they cooked the sunny side eggs because they tasted "plastic - ky" and the scrambled eggs looked dry. But on the brighter side, we thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the Wakatipu Drill - loved the prawns, fried chicken and salmon. Love the pool, spa but disappointed that the steam room was not working. Fabulous stay.
Great place! Very clean, inviting and our rooms were fabulous. Property was relaxing and we slept like a rock! Being by the lake is so worth it. They offer a water taxi into town which was so convenient.
Room was lovely but paid extra for a lake view room but the view was more of the next building roof than the lake. Very disappointed. The dining options were limited as the main restaurant was closed for my second night and the other restaurant (Stacks) food was very average. My first choice of meal was not available as they 'ran out' (at 6pm) and the second choice i had to send back as it was awful. Nice place but they need to lift their game for a 5 star and expensive price.
The hotel is located on the lakeshore and offers a very peaceful, quiet atmosphere.
The fireplace in the room was especially soothing and made the stay feel warm and relaxing.
Hilton Queenstown is hands down the best place to stay in Queenstown and has been my all-time favourite for the last 15 years (since it opened)
No matter the occasion—whether it’s a romantic getaway, a special celebration, or simply a relaxing escape—the team always goes above and beyond to make every stay feel perfect. The service is consistently outstanding, with friendly, professional staff who genuinely care about making guests feel welcome and looked after.
The hotel has such a warm, cozy, and luxurious atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful, the surroundings are stunning, and the entire property feels like a true retreat from the moment you arrive.
The breakfast is always fantastic, with a great selection and high-quality food that starts the day off perfectly. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, which is why I continue to return year after year.
After 15 years of visiting, Hilton Queenstown still exceeds my expectations every time. It’s a place that never disappoints, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Always sad to check out and keep looking forward to my next stay there.
Loved the location, staff was accommodating in the hotel, spa, and restaurant.
Our suite with living room had a fireplace and dining and lounging deck overlooking the lake.
The location is great. We had a lake view suite room - which is very desirable if staying at the property. The suite was very spacious and comfortable. The service was great right from check in, to some amenities that were requested and the break buffet service.
Great view of lake from room . Walking path around lake is outstanding. Service great. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Wife was able to enjoy massage last morning and they allowed a late check out. Water taxi to town works great as well.
A beautiful hotel on the lakes edge. Rooms were spacious, the view was incredible, they had a great breakfast selection, carpark was just across the road.
Only thing was, it’s a slight drive out of Queenstown, but very close to airport.
There is the option of the water taxi which runs every hour and picks up straight out the front of the hotel. $10-$14 one way
The woman at check in was so kind to my 5 year old son with a drawing pack. The man working at Stacks was also above and beyond for my birthday. Exceptional from check in to check out.
Lovely hotel! Beautiful property around the lake. We are so glad we didn’t stay in downtown queenstown and decided to stay here. There is a ferry outside the hotel that you can take to go to downtown queenstown or if you have a car, it’s very convenient drive. Room was sooo nice and we really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend it 100%
