"Great location, on-site restaurant and hot springs/pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms are definitely a little outdated, but it was clean and had everything we needed. No complaints."
"It was our first time to Ouray and the views are breathtaking and a beautiful little downtown area. This location is just down the street from downtown and a beautiful little walkway to stroll down the river is just out back. The place was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Also this is the first place we’ve ever stayed that had complimentary glass cleaner and cloths to clean your car windows after a long trip."
"It was a beautiful place! Loved our location. Close to the hot springs pools and right on the river. We could see and hear it from our rooms balcony. Slept with the window open and listened to it all night and it was awesome. There was also a trail loop that ran along the river that you could just hop on and enjoy. We walked it with our 6 year old and had a young buck come right in front of us to cross to the river for a drink. Our son was floored about it.
The room was comfortable and welcoming. Two king sized beds and they were super comfy. Loved the ambiance of the electric fireplace that you could turn on without heating the place up.
There weren't any apps on the tv for like Netflix or anything but just regular cable and we actually really appreciated this. Once our son knew it wasn't an option he just accepted it and was more ready to go do stuff with us.
Everyone that worked there that we came across were very nice and helpful. Cheerful! Great stay! Would def. Recommend and stay there again."
"This motel is a hidden gem. On a quiet street just off Main Street, it is run by a family who really cares for their patrons. Thanks to John the dad who works the front desk, the phones, and makes sure everyone gets a go bag with an ample supply for breakfast and a snack. His daughter manages most of the business, and is a delight to work with. The rest of the staff is very friendly. Our room was clean and a nice size with A/C, a great shower/tub, refrigerator, microwave, desk and closet space. They have created an outdoor garden space with tables and hot tubs to enjoy the days and evening in comfort (great to use after a day hiking or just wandering around town). Since you are right off Main Street, all the shops and restaurants are a short walk away. Our favorite hang out was the Ouray Brewery. We used this motel as a home base. We drove to Telluride for a couple of days, hiked the Ouray Perimeter Trail, visited Box Canyon, and drove the Million Dollar Highway to Silverton. All very easy to access from here."
"The coupon for breakfast at Mi Mexico was awesome, one of the best breakfasts we’ve had so far. The hotel is clean and comfortable, but the air conditioner didn’t work properly in our room, and some of the amenities were a little low, but we only had a one night stay and the bed was comfortable for sleeping in the room was quiet. Also, our room was on the second floor and no elevator, this might be a concern for those elder or any mobility issues"
