In typical mountain west fashion, the rooms lack AC, but other than that the decor and charm of the hotel are undeniable and the restaurant serves good food. Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the St. Elmo Hotel in Ouray! Such a charming historic hotel with so much character, right in the heart of town. The location was perfect for exploring Ouray, with restaurants, shops and beautiful mountain views just steps away. It was a wonderful stop on our Colorado road trip, and we loved the old-world charm and atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again! ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at the St. Elmo Hotel in Ouray! The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The hotel has been beautifully renovated while still maintaining its historic charm and character. Everything felt fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully done. The combination of the charming atmosphere, beautiful renovations, and genuinely friendly staff made our stay special. A perfect place to experience Ouray, I hope to stay there again in the near future.

The hotel was definitely overpriced for the experience provided. The staff were excellent—friendly, helpful, and professional, which was the highlight of the stay. However, the room had several issues that made the experience disappointing. The light coming through the small window above the door was terrible and made it difficult to get the room dark enough to sleep comfortably. The bathroom was also very small and felt cramped. For the price charged, I expected better comfort and attention to detail. While the staff were wonderful, the overall experience did not justify the cost. Improvements to the room, especially the lighting and bathroom space, would make a big difference.
