「The hotel was clearly very beautiful and held a lot of history. The room was a bit tight for our family of 5 - especially the tiny bathrooms, but the beds were incredible. I liked that parking was included and the hotel was in walking distance of a lot of things in Salem. We ate at one restaurant in the hotel for dinner and the other restaurant for breakfast. 「Cute little lodge . The front desk is open only 9 to 5. Provisions are made for coming and going after hours. Parking is directly behind the building. Free 8pm to 8am . 50 cents an hour otherwise. Easy to pay with app. Location is convenient for theaters and restaurants. You can walk everywhere. Hotels in this area are very high priced and this one is no exception, but a little less than the big chains. We therefore chose the least expensive room with a king bed as we were staying only 1 night...

「It was a good hotel to spend time with my granddaughter! The pool was nice - clean with a shallow end for her to play in. The breakfast was good with choices for a 3 1/2 year old and even a book rack for reading books to her! Nice seating area in the lobby and outside too. I would definitely go back!」

「I’m guessing the A/C was not working. So to fix the issue, a portable floor A/C was wheeled in which ran all night long with a tremendous noise. Definitely not a good sleep. Now check out is at 11am. We’re five people deep to checkout because the hotel is allowing guests to check their luggage in before they can get into hotel at 4pm. Not well planned from our perspective. Hotel has been great in previous stays. Maybe this was an anomaly」

「The room was great- exactly as described. The gentleman owner was kind - lived on the premises and spent a lot of our stay mowing the lawn and working in the gardens. Would be a bit uncomfortable for femme people traveling alone, but a good set up for people looking for conversation or company. 」
