Having a full kitchen and washer drier was a huge money saver for us. We enjoyed dinners on the patio at sunset almost every night. The room was nicely appointed, but a little dated. The one area that bugged us was kind of minor, but with water restrictions on the island, it was surprising to find that the shower could really use a flow control- or better shower head - as it gushed and wasted gallons of water without any way to control the flo. Other then that the place was great for our 8 day stay. We will come back soon.

Nice and accommodating staff. Room was HORRIBLE! This is the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. Our room was full of cockroaches and had bed bugs. It was disgusting. I am extremely disappointed with this and disgusted. Every morning I woke up with new bed bug bites on my chest, arms, and legs and to top it off, every morning I found more cockroaches…mind you we didn’t even cook or eat in our hotel because of how grossed out we were. I rate this hotel a 2/10 only because of how helpful and nice the staff was. Other than that, I’d give it a zero.

Best location. Property could use a little love with upgrades but location right on the water more than makes up for it. Beautiful west facing so amazing sunsets. Walk straight to the Kaanapali beach - amazing beach. Local shops close by. And whalers village a 5 minute drive. Great shopping and dining there! I don’t want to stay anywhere else when I visit Maui again.

I had roaches in my room, stool on the blanket and they told me I would have to pay to have it clean. 2 days later they had to move me.

We’ve stayed at the Aston Mahana for years, but this anniversary trip was awful. We were given a moldy room unsafe for my health, and the front desk clerk was rude and dismissive. Management brushed it off, saying the mold “wasn’t an issue” and even moved another guest into that same room. Later, someone else was mistakenly sent into our reassigned room while our belongings were inside. Management said they had computer issues that caused the mix up. What used to be our favorite getaway has become one of our most stressful travel experiences.

Nice apartment fully equipped with direct excess to the beach . Quiet property. Pool area and hot tub are relaxing spots in hot summer days . Friendly polite staff .

This is now our new favorite place to stay on Maui. The view of the ocean from our lanai was dreamy. We saw more dolphins and whales than we did on an expensive boat trip. The grocery store was a short walk and there were food carts close by with many options if you didn’t feel like cooking. We weren’t looking for a poolside bar or restaurant and appreciated the quiet not party scene vibe.

Good place to stay and as described

The location is very nice and close to the beach, and the building is well-maintained. It is quiet and peaceful at night. Although not having air conditioning was a bit uncomfortable, we managed with the breeze coming in from the front. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the attitude of the staff and the locals in general. They are not rude, but they also don't come across as friendly. It feels like they are just doing their jobs for a paycheck, with little enthusiasm. I got the impression that they are somewhat fed up with tourists. This was my first time in Maui, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I saved a lot to travel there and had high expectations, but I left with a sour experience. Not to mention that, everything is very, very expensive!
