There are few places I’ve been that can make you feel you’ve entered a completely different time period. Casa Laguna Hotel & Spa is one of those places. The moment you enter the grounds, there is a sense of peace and tranquillity that washes over you that is somewhat inexplicable; rare. From the soft music to the foliage, every detail adds to the overall zen experience. I booked two nights for a solo bday trip. I was excited to stay as I’d read such rave reviews, and let me say pictures and words don’t do it justice. I stayed in the Deluxe Oceanview Room with a private balcony. (I sat outside enjoying the views of the ocean many times during my stay). The rooms are cute and quaint, but the overall hotel architecture and interior design make you feel as if you’ve left the country. The food is delicious and the drinks don’t miss! (Give the frittata a try at breakfast and the club sandwich a go for lunch!) Another beautiful part worth noting was the kindness of everyone who stayed at the hotel. I chatted and mingled with lovely folks from all over; most returning customers. They spoke of how much they loved it, as well. I’d also like to shout out Cody, who made my trip more than memorable. From the moment I arrived, he took wonderful care of me and even surprised me with a bottle of champagne by the pool for my birthday. Because of his kindness alone, I’d return to Casa Laguna Hotel & Spa in a heartbeat. All in all, it was a trip for the books, and I can’t wait to stay again!
