"Our room didn’t have a bedside table or light and you had to park away from our room. The picture they show is for another resort that you can eat at, but not use the pool. "

"Upon entering, it is somewhat clean, but you noticed the extreme rundown check in area, poolside dirty, broken items sitting along edge. Circus rides that look like they need to be torn down! Building & pool need new paint. The food was absolutely terrible. Hot dogs that look from the day before, ground soupy beef ..not sure. We ended up eating elsewhere rest of the trip. The “shuttles” were small pickup trucks that would come every 15 minutes go up and down around the resort…a joke. Pictures are nothing close to what you’re getting & paying for."

"The Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo was incredible and truly exceeded our expectations. The resort was beautifully maintained, with breathtaking scenery at every turn. We especially loved the pools, the seamless boat rides to the beach club, and the consistently friendly and attentive staff. One of the highlights was enjoying our morning coffee at sunrise while listening to the howler monkeys—an unforgettable and uniquely Costa Rican experience."

"We had an amazing stay here for our birthday. The property is so beautiful and very well kept. The poolside was perfect, breakfast was included every morning and it was very delicious and made fresh, we ate at the restaurant for dinner, the food and drinks were spot on. The villa (room) was perfect for us and loved waking up everyday to the garden view with surrounding sounds of nature. Oh and perfect location to the playa hermosa beach, just a few meters away. We will absolutely visit here again our next trip"

"The property was very nice. Spa was great. Villa was amazing. Restaurants need help. Service is very slow and you have to get up from table to ask for things. Didn’t like that the pool Bar/Restaurant closed so early. Pools are also way too warm. "

"We stayed four days in April 2026. The property is wonderful, with an extensive beach, great pool and wonderful staff. The restaurant is very good, lots of variety and lots of food. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit and a good menu. Our room was clean and the Air Conditioning was good. The hounds are extensive, trees, shrubs and Howler monkey in the trees. Would stay there again. "
