This home was beautiful and in a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood. We wish we spent more time relaxing here. There were some safety concerns with a toddler with the stairs etc, but they could easily be blocked off.

If I could, I would give this place six stars in a five-star rating system. The hotel was recommended by a Japanese friend of mine who grew up in Kyoto. When I told him I wanted to stay in a place with traditional Japanese style, he suggested this one. I already liked it a lot from the photos online, but when I walked through the door, it was even more beautiful than I imagined. The staff was incredibly kind. We made a mistake when we first arrived—we dropped off our luggage at another, unrelated hotel (not sure how someone in our group mixed up the address). When the staff at this hotel found out, they told us to wait at the hotel while they drove an hour round trip to retrieve our bags from the other location. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Kyoto, and I recommend it to everyone.

長屋、最高！

今回の京都旅行で1番印象的なのが、長屋造りの宿舎です。チェックインの際のスタッフの方も親切で、事前に到着時間を伝えていて大通りまで出て出迎えて下さいました。また、効率的な付近の観光情報を教えていただきました。荷物も事前に配送させていただきましたので受け取り対応もして下さいました。長屋造りになっていて、お隣りが近いせいか隣の海外旅行者が玄関チャイムを押して私たちに台所の使い方を聞いてくる貴重な体験もありました。部屋が広くて古い造りで子どもたちは、大喜びでした。自転車で近所を回ることを楽しみにしていましたが、3日間雨で自転車に乗れず残念でした。

Ein typisches altes japanisches Haus mit tollem Flair. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, täglich frisches Wasser und Handtücher. Wir haben uns zu sechst sehr wohl gefühlt, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat auch sehr gut geklappt. Die Strasse war beim ersten Mal nicht ganz einfach zu finden, auch der Taxifahrer hat sich schwer getan. Ich kann die Unterkunft für eine größere Gruppe/ Familie aber nur weiterempfehlen!

85歳の母を連れて6人で利用しました。 事前メールでの入室案内や、駐車場の地図などもあり当日もスムーズに入室出来ました。部屋も綺麗で使いやすく壺庭を見ながらのお風呂は露天風呂気分で気持ち良かったです。自転車も2台自由に使えるのも良かったです。今回は大阪からの近場旅行でしたが、町屋でゆっくり出来て皆満足でした。

교토 조용한 구역의 전통 가옥

헤이안궁을 걸어서 갈 수 있는 조용한 주거지대의 위치가 좋고, 일본 전통 가옥의 느낌도 좋고 자전거 무료 대여도 좋고, 전반적으로 관리도 잘 되어 있는 점이 장점. 단점은 후라이팬과 밥그릇 하나도 없는 부엌. 안에서 잠글 수 없는 구조인데 이미 직원들은 비밀번호를 알고 있다는 것. 주차장 빠져 나갈 때 길이 너무 좁아서 누군가 내려서 양 옆을 봐 주어야 한다는 정도.

とても綺麗で、リビング6人余裕の広さで、寝室2階にあるのでとても快適に過ごすことができました!! 近くにコンビニ、スーパー、ピザ屋もあるので買い出しもすぐ行けます!! 駐車場までの道のりが少し狭いのでご安全に。

過不足無く丁寧な対応をしていただきました。利用案内ファイルに近隣の診療所の案内まで入っておりしっかりした印象を受けました。ティーバッグ、（ドリップタイプの）コーヒーなどサービスも有り、大変快適に過ごせました。また利用したいです。

最高でした満足

とても風情のある佇まいで古いながらも清潔さと現代的な「お風呂、トイレ等」部分あり快適な時間を過ごすことができました。高齢の両親との旅行だったので心配はありましたが高齢の方でも快適だったようです。

Vakker machyia/ryokan med senger på hems, liten hage og utrolig stille og fredelig. Fin opplevelse i en by full av turister og folksomt på alle måter. Eneste som trakk ned var at det var langt fra metro/ tog. Måtte ha drosje. Men 2000 yen til Kyoto stasjon er jo greit...

Good house, privacy issues

Very cool house in good (not great) condition—allows for a unique Kyoto experience. Friendly and helpful reception staff at Kyoto station. The problem is with no respect for privacy from on-site staff. Obnoxious property manager entered house uninvited 3 times in initial 2 days despite fluent English and seeming to understand it was not acceptable. Other cleaning staff entered within 3 seconds of ringing doorbell on several occasions. They really need to sort out on-site customer service issues like this.
