This hotel does not have direct beach access. If you walk few blocks there is the small cozy Simonton Beach with music and a small cafe. The hotel has a small pool area, which is clean, well maintained but a little bit dated. There were pool attendants who did a good job making sure they were fresh towels in the area was maintained properly.
The check-in process was seamless and our room was ready on time. We were not offered an upgrade, but our room was clean and well stocked. The shower was truly subpar & barely above dribbling no matter how you tried to adjust it. It was really surprising because the bathroom was very up-to-date. I did notify the staff via the convenient text messaging optionand they offered to try to address it. We were only there for a couple days so I let them know that it was not worth it and I just asked them to please make sure to address the issue for the next guest. I was always surprised when we walked past many of the housekeeping staff we were not greeted or acknowledged. If I asked our specific housekeeper for something they were quick to provide it and pleasant. When I asked, we were provided with a late checkout, which made things easier for us.
We did not eat on the property at all since breakfast wasn’t included, it made more sense to eat out. The hotel in general was clean and well maintained, but it was a bit dated with the carpet and the decor. When I consider the price per night, there are definitely other options to consider.
