  • #TroveOn A couple miles north of Key West, on the right is Boca Chica Rd, follow that road as far as you can and you'll get to the beach at Geiger Key. The road comes to an abrupt stop, the rest of it was destroyed in a hurricane years ago but you can park there and walk out. The beach is secluded and quiet, except when the Navy is holding flight practices. The planes are so close, you can see the pilots!

I really wanted to love it. The staff was awesome. Upgraded our room to a pool view without our request, so nice of them. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. The pool was nice! Full of kids. ( The hot tub was broken.) The lobby was inviting and bright. But driving around to the back to find our room left me feeling like I was using the service entrance. (I wasn’t) Elevator did not work, carried our bags up 3 flights. Got ready for dinner - the bathroom sink did not drain. The shower was awesome , great pressure, lots of hot water. Woke up in the early AM to people talking loudly by the pool - ok, comes with the territory. Headed to the beach across the street - beautiful and they had beach chairs. (Which is why I chose to stay in this location. But honestly- for the $ - I felt like it was not worth it. We did not eat there - but seemed like people were into it.

I was not impressed with resort for the expensive price. This hotel needs refurbishment. The staff super friendly. The shuttle service saved us so much money on parking in downtown! Loved that convince. I was in the 3rd floor in the hallway the doors and walls looked scratched up and beat up!! The a/c is a system in a window … not central. The unit super noisy and the lights are too bright I had to cover them with wash towels. Toilet noise too . The bathroom need upgrades!! Too dated! Too expensive for the resort it self!

The room was terribly uncomfortable. The bed was so hard I might as well have slept on the floor. There was not a comfortable place to sit- either a hard futon or miserable chair. and there was no light with which to read. The food at the restaurant was very average. The bar was nice. Service was good. Desk personnel were very kind. We checked out a day early.

I didn't choose the resort so I was a bit skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious with a large bathroom. The grounds were well maintained and airport shuttle was a nice addition. The food was good. Staying downtown close to the action has its appeal. But the shuttle from the resort dropped us there and we could get up every morning and walk across the street to the beach to watch the sunrise. Or spend the day on the beach for a down day. We couldn't have done that downtown as the there are no beaches. This is a good option if you enjoy the things mentioned above.

room was clean. It could have used a desk and a couple of chairs. The restaurant was pretty limited. I only had breakfast there twice not for dinner really appealed to me or my wife. Did not like the resort fee that added $187.04 to my stay that was taken out of the deposit. The shuttle was somewhat useful but was not early enough to get to the boat to ft Jefferson. Had to drive and spend an extra $60 for parking.

Location was close to the airport and close to the beach and an uber away from downtown. The beach was clean and beautiful. The resort does offer shuttles to downtown but we just couldn't coordinate timing. The resort pool, grounds and restaurant were excellent. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. There were no real closets, the surfboard with hooks in the bathroom fell off the wall when we put a towel on it and the toilet kept having problems flushing, had to open the top of the tank to manually flush. The room aircon was musty smelling and left the sheets and bedding feel moist. They changed out our aircon filters for us which helped a little. All that being said... I would stay again. This was my favorite hotel during out recent trip to the Keys. I really enjoyed all the little perks they offer like poolside smoothies, cookies and the shuttle. The pool area is very relaxing and fun to hang out at. The rooms were nice including comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The staff was excellent. I also enjoyed that this hotel is away from all the busy areas on the island and there is a beach across the street.

Room missing alarm clock the TV didn’t work right away both issues were rectified The restaurant in lobby area temperature was cold. The bar was cold with no plastic screens blocking the wind. Had to depart early because of the weather requested a refund for the day, but was declined.

the room was actually quite dirty , corners of the floor when wiped showed a lot of dirt , ridges and fronts of cupboards were dirty Also paint peeling of of walls and and trim and bathroom had paint patch marks that didn’t match the rest of the wall. The bar and workers were great and so was the shuttle.

First of all, I want to say that we usually love Margaritaville hotels, having stayed at several over the years, however we were very disappointed in this one. When we checked in, he told us where to park so that we would be closest to the elevator, but he failed to mention that the elevator was broken and actually the elevator on the ground floor coming off the parking lot did not tell you that the elevator was broken! The sign that told you the elevator was broken was up one flight of stairs so we stood waiting for an elevator, both of us in our 60s with all of our luggage until another guest told us that the elevator was broken so we had to carry all of our luggage up two flights of stairs. I understand that things break, but at check-in he should've told us so we could've brought our luggage to our floor that way. Then we check into our room which was facing the beach and very nice except that we had so many bugs at the kitchen sink! So so many and I did report this and nobody ever came to do anything about it, so it was very disappointing. We were there from December 22-26 and visited the bar for breakfast and happy hour and both times, everything was great!

Everything was amazing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We were checked on each day. The accommodations were nice. The location was perfect. Would highly recommend. Second time staying at this property. Bonus the beach is just across the street
