It’s a shame because I really wanted to like this hotel but in the end after one night I hated it so much I checked out early and moved to another hotel. Ultimately, my room was on the ground floor and I felt very unsafe. There is no chain on the inside of the door for peace of mind. There is a LOT of noise from outside as well as inside the hotel. The location is in quite a low economic neighbourhood and after being followed back to the hotel I felt really vulnerable. I didn’t see any other tourists around during the time I was in the area. Additionally, the room itself wasn’t clean. The sheets smelled of damp. There was mould in the shower. The floor turned my socks black. No soap was provided. To be fair, I didn’t share my feedback with the hotel or give them the opportunity to fix anything because I would never have felt safe there due to my own insecurities. I didn’t sleep at all on the first night and that was enough to tell me I needed to move.
