Wonderful stay at the Barbera hotel. The staff were really helpful with plenty of good advice from the staff at the front desk for seeing places and getting around using the Istanbul. The breakfast was really nice especially the egg with sujuk and the breakfast staff were friendly, helpful and attentitive. Would definitely stay again here.

We had a very pleasant stay, the room was small but very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, wi-fi worked well, and shower had good water pressure and temperature. Location was pretty good, not a far walk to transportation and sites. Staff was very friendly and helpful in securing transportation for us.

I booked because it located near grand bazaar and got 4 stars and nice reviews on internet but it looks 1 star and too small room. Never never 4 stars hotel. It is not worth around $100 per day hotel.

We had a fantastic experience at the Barbera Hotel—everything from the location to the service exceeded expectations. Despite its central location, Barbera is tucked away on a quiet street, offering a peaceful retreat from the city’s bustle. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, they made us feel genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived. Whether it was sharing local tips or going the extra mile to accommodate requests, their hospitality made all the difference. And the breakfast? Absolutely wonderful. A generous, fresh spread that fueled us up for the day and became something we looked forward to each morning. Schönes kleines Boutique Hotel an perfekter Lage um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss oder per Tram zu erreichen. Das gesamte Hot-Team ist überaus zuvorkommend, freundlich und aufgestellt. Man fühlt sich als Gast rundum wohl und willkommen. Alle Angestellten geben einem wertvolle Tipps bezüglich der Erreichbarkeit und Gepflogenheiten alles Plätze, Ausflugszielen und Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber auch der Kultur. Wir können das Hotel Barbera nur empfehlen.

Good for a mini-break

The hotel is ideally located in the north of the old town very near the tram with easy access across the bridge to Karaköy. The service was great (fast check-in, available for questions, happy to arrange a yellow taxi to the airport on short notice), albeit I preferred to find recommendations online than refer to the hotel staff. The room itself was comfortable, modern and clean.

Super sauberes und gelegenes Hotel

Super Boutique Hotel mit einer super Lage! Von hier aus hat man quasi direkten Zugang zur allen Verkehrsmittel. Hier buchen und die ganzen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Istanbul entdecken. Frühstück war gut und Tee und Kaffee gab es rundum die Zeit kostenlos. Super Personal. Ich komme wieder

The most perfect stay in the most perfect location

This was the most incredible stay we have experienced. The guest services were incredible. They provided us with the most attentive service, giving us recommendations of all kinds. We took their advice and not once were we disappointed. I could not believe how much the staff at this hotel would do for us. It was simple, perfect.
