"The Dunvegan is absolutely enchanting and is perfectly located for visiting your University of St. Andrews student (MacIntosh Hall, the first year dorm, is right across the street.) The staff was so friendly and accommodating that we left feeling like family. Breakfast was cooked to order and the few number of rooms in the hotel made it a relaxing experience. A few things to remember if you are visiting from the US are that it is in the middle of town in an old building so there is no on-site parking. It's better to rely on public transportation rather than a rental car. Also, the bottom floor is a very popular pub so, in the evenings, you are part of the action. If you are a go-to-bed-early kind of traveler, you may find the atmosphere a little noisy until 10:30 p.m. But that is a large part of the charm of the place too."
"Very welcoming staff who were happy to help including Tusi. Room was spotless too, only issue was suite had a cracked window and radiators weren't hot enough but they offered to swap the room for us if it got too cold but it was ok. Breakfast was amazing though"
"Great hotel, lovely room , comfortable and spotlessly clean, bed was really comfy. Breakfast delicious. Overall great value fir money. Enjoyed our stay "
"Everthing was outstanding. Staff were friendly, the hotel gave my son a teddy for his first time visiting which he loves and we got cakes in the room for my wife’s birthday. Cannot fault anything "
