"The staff was outstanding and very helpful. The photos and facilities were excellent. The location was wonderful and the food at the restaurant was the best we had in Manuas."

" I stayed at Rede Andrade in Manaus for two nights and initially planned to return for an additional night after my Amazon trip, but due to my experience, I decided not to. At reception on the first day, the staff did not speak English, were unfriendly, and seemed more focused on their phones than on assisting guests. There was also a travel agency representative in the lobby constantly trying to sell highly overpriced tours. He offered us a 4-hour city walk for €100 for two people, which is completely unreasonable. Even after we clearly said we were not interested, he continued approaching us during breakfast, in the lobby, and repeatedly throughout our stay. It was very uncomfortable and intrusive. The room was extremely hot. The air conditioning unit was old, dirty, and honestly looked unsafe to use. Because of this, we had to open the window, but the view was frightening and unpleasant. In the evening, we found a huge flying cockroach in the room. Thankfully, one male receptionist helped us remove it. Before leaving for a 4-day trip to the Amazon, I asked if I could safely store my work laptop at the hotel so I would not have to take it with me into the forest. That day, there was one kind English-speaking receptionist who said she would ask the manager and store it safely in the manager’s office. I tipped her 50 BRL and left another 50 BRL for the manager to ensure my laptop would be secure. I placed the laptop and a few small belongings inside a "

"When I got there the room was leaking water so there was no room. I had to quickly book another room for $700 more. They offered room at 2 of their other hotels but I looked at them and found them not acceptable. Sometimes the photos shown and what actually you’re getting is a lot sifferent"

"Pretty clean for a hostel in Brazil. Good staff, pool was cleaned but has too much chemicals. A couple people listening to phones without headphones in dorm. But overall, good stay."

"Breakfast served daily even on holidays. Staff very friendly and helpful with all questions. For convenience, they should consider providing a map of local businesses a visitor may need: supermarket, laundry, cash exchange, etc. Also, the hotel is right on St Sebastian square, along with bars and restaurants that host bands regularly. So, even during the week, but especially on the weekends, it’s noisy late. The area of the teatro and the square is fairly impoverished: plenty of vagrants, stray dogs, but despite its appearance, it is probably more convenient and fun than other, cleaner locations. Lots of necessary services available, along with street vendors most of the day, various events in the square and around the teatro, and of course the bars/restaurants, many with very good food reasonably priced.
