Hotel is at central location and staff wete friendly. However, the room can do with upgrading. The bathroom stank and the space is very restricted and the towels had a very foul smell.
Great location, several shops and restaurants near by. The rooms on the back is very quiet. Very clean.

Breakfast served daily even on holidays. Staff very friendly and helpful with all questions. For convenience, they should consider providing a map of local businesses a visitor may need: supermarket, laundry, cash exchange, etc.
Also, the hotel is right on St Sebastian square, along with bars and restaurants that host bands regularly. So, even during the week, but especially on the weekends, it’s noisy late.
The area of the teatro and the square is fairly impoverished: plenty of vagrants, stray dogs, but despite its appearance, it is probably more convenient and fun than other, cleaner locations. Lots of necessary services available, along with street vendors most of the day, various events in the square and around the teatro, and of course the bars/restaurants, many with very good food reasonably priced.
Right at the center of the town and next to Teatro Amazona, this is a great place to stay in Manaus. There's also good restaurants to choose from.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is in a great location, however it’s a busy square our room faced the square and the bar next door was quite noisy. Breakfast was good lots of new food and fruits to try and the service was awesome.
The back garden and pool area is well maintained and filled with many of the fruits and veggies you will eat at breakfast.
Beautiful small hotel adjacent to the Teatro Amazonas and the square. Rooms are quaint, clean and comfortable. Breakfast by the pool was delicious and relaxing with the humming birds buzzing in the garden. There's also a nice roof top deck to watch the nightly activity on the square. The staff were professional, friendly and very helpful too.
Lovely small hotel with a beautiful interior and garden/pool. Excellent breakfast. Very much preferable over hotels of large chains. Room was very small but good mattress.
Very nice design inside the property. Room was large and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. The location is the best! It’s right in the center in front of the main plaza. It is surrounded by the best restaurants in the area! The breakfast at the hotel could be a little better. Other than that, great hotel for the price!
Loved the location on the square facing the Opera House. Everyone was out in the evenings, lots of music and good food. Our room was large and comfortable - little skimpy on things like towels and soap. Beautiful, relaxing pool area and garden where breakfast is served. Very nice breakfast.
Perfect Hotel! Very safe and staff was OVER the top helpful and kind. Great AC amazing breakfast and pool for downtown area. Walking distance to everything you could need or want. Recently upgraded and can’t recommend enough.

The hotel is centrally located just across the street from the teatro Amazonia. It is noisy at night with the music from across the street. But the hotel is small, clean, and it is easy to get around
What a beautiful ❤️ place (refuge) in the heart of Manaus.
Enjoy a beakfast or a drink under the banana trees, dive in the small pool...all just across the Amazon Theatre Plaza.
So nice hosts. Hotel looks exactly like the pictures, a kolonial style villa. 10/10 Stars... considering the pricing especially.
Great stay - mattresses are very comfortable, rooms & bathrooms are clean, place is updated, everyone was helpful. My a/c wasn’t cooling ideally but it wasn’t a huge deal. They have great lounging areas throughout the hotel downstairs, and the rooms are spacious.
I would suggest checking on the location of your room in the building if it’s a weekend night, as there is a bar next door that can be heard late into the night. I was able to sleep through it but, if you’re a light sleeper, ask to be on the opposite side of the hotel. I didn’t, however, hear the town square music from my interior room, which was an issue at my previous hotel.
I didn’t stay long enough to use the pool or have breakfast, so no comments on those.
Comparatively, I had friends staying up the street for 4 times the cost for the particular night (Juma Opera) with broken a/c, so it happens. They said it was beautiful otherwise. I stayed at another hotel for a night as well (casa de perpetua), which was loud- and weekend bands go late, even on Sunday. I had an exterior room, so maybe that was the issue of the extent of the volume heard in my room.
Hotel do Bispo is perfect and more than what you’ll expect for the ~100 USD/nt. A perfect place to sleep and have a clean, hot shower.
They should charge 2x what they are. On the only nice plwza in the city. Only one with a roof deck, i think. Great interior decorating. Only issues were no tv. I think they say they have tv. And my room did not have a glass window to shut. I heard the noisy restaurant next door until 1am. Then again in the morning. Plus it let out the ac. Pool may not have been chlorinated. Tip - shower has a little straw that you turn for hot water. No water problems. No wifi problems. No usb plugs. Taxi and tour bus stand just outside. A very stylish surprise. Tip - DB market 3 blocks towards river is only one. Not very good though.Bispo means bishop.
