"Huge characterful and comfortable room in the converted old building. Very well located in the Fort area. Staff and service were very good. Nice bar area and cocktail menu. We didn't use the restaurant except for breakfast (which was OK but basic). In the library suite there is a huge bathtub (advised on arrival beyond the capability of hot water supply to fill) as well as a good shower. There is a slight privacy issue with this suite, seating in the restaurant area is the other side of the bathroom wall with an auditory implication. Swimming pool is cute, probably best for use by the suites on the ground floor adjoining it. Side note to the hotel, there could be better occasional lighting options (we had to move the bedside lamps around). Overall, despite the small notes, a 5 star stay and excellent value for money. "

"This is a lovely historic house presented with style and charm, and high standards. The staff provide the best service and are very attentive. Setting is just gorgeous with visiting shy groups of purple-faced leaf monkeys and peacocks passing through along the high walls and trees from time as you sit in the cool palm filled courtyards. And added, an excellent menu with both traditional and modern mix so well presented and tasty served in a lovely restaurant-bar setting on the deep verandahs. "
