"The staff and everybody was amazing. Only issue was we paid for horseback riding and they changed the time to later in the day and we could not do it so we wanted to cancel it and get a refund which they said they could do. And I have yet to receive my refund yet. If anybody can help out please reach out."

"Great resort for the price. I really liked the buffet. The steakhouse was ok but had a terrible vegan option. The Italian restaurant was small and bland portions. We were able to get reservations easily but had to download WhatsApp. There were plenty of things to do. The pools were great and rooms clean. Staff were hit or miss. Some were friendly and others were not inviting. "

"The property was beautiful, very, very clean. The only feedback i have is that the staff did not understand English in the restaurants very well. When asked for allergies, they did not know or even accommodate. I understand that English is not the country's first language; however, when catering to travellers, it would be beneficial to have workers who understand. Food taste is about 3 stars for the restaurants. Tepyanakki was best for us. Buffet had many options, but in general, basic taste food, no flavour, even salt and pepper were scarce. Dessert however was a 5* and coffee bar was amazing. Overall would visit again maybe for shorter duration "

"We don't feel this Riu should be a "Palace". It's not up to Palace standards that we've been to in Mexico. Staff barely speaks any English. Take a look at the pools in the evenings. They are filthy and weren't cleaned during our five day stay. There was mold on the walls of our family suite. We have no reason to return to this resort!"

"We were on the 3rd floor and our AC was set to the lowest temp of 15 degrees Celcius, however it was very hot in our room and it felt like 75 degrees. Our toilet wouldn’t flush for the first 48 hours, but thankfully the staff was able to fix it. On our last night the resort experienced a power outage around 5 am cutting out the air conditioning. Other than these few hiccups we had an amazing stay! The beach was by far the best amenity. The buffet wasn’t great but the restaurants were fantastic (just make sure to make a reservation). Staff was very friendly and we made friends with many staff members! The resort grounds was gorgeous and very well maintained. We had a wonderful stay and would visit again!"
