The gym is also free but we did not use it. If you want a basic stop over on the way to Hirtshals ferry, then this is perfect. Would not personally recommend for more than one night or a holiday though. Would stay again for a stop over."

"Breakfast was excellent. Parking is recommended at the Aalborghallen congress culture center on the other side of the railway station. The family room was sufficient for one night stay. The bathroom was very small with the sink inside the shower cubicle and the toilet too close to the bathroom door. The room are not equipped with air conditioning which would have been necessary because it was very hot with 30°C outside; opening windows helped but with noise from the station or seagulls."

Opening the window for air meant we heard the street noise and keeping it closed it was very hot in the room. "Nice place with terrace overlooking the gardens so very pleasant on a warm sunny evening. Pool very clean and was nice to swim in but I wouldn’t call the overall faculty an ‘oasis’ - it feels a bit more functional than that. Nice and friendly staff at both reception and in the restaurant. Very modern and obviously renovated bathroom which made my room feel very liveable in but thin walls in the bedroom and I could hear coughing from the room next door. Overall the place is tranquil and relaxing but just a bit tired in places."
