I’ve been staying here every weekend for the last 12 weeks for work, and everything has always run smoothly. The staff is friendly & super helpful, my room is always clean, and it is generally a safe & quiet area.
My stay at Red Roof in Hickory was better than I expected. The owners and staff go above and beyond to help Us have any and everything we need and want.
Dirty property grounds dated rooms old linens. Ac barely works. Two crappy towels. Front desk staff is super helpful and kind.

Clean but sketchy
I will say that the inside of the rooms were clean. However, the outside of the hotel is old and in dire need of repairs. There are people walking around at all times, doing God knows what. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean, the only issue we had was the toilet not flushing well.
Not a good area. Felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. Not a very nice hotel at all. The one staff member we saw was very friendly though.

Room was basic and clean. Some room issues: TV would not display video or audio, the toilet was difficult to fully flush, A/C controls wouldn't allow fan speed changes, and saw brown roaches on Sunday AM just prior to departure

I was traveling from NY and had to drive to Asheville for a wedding... but the woman at the front desk was kind of rude and not so welcoming at 1:30pm when I arrived and asked if I could check in early as I had to get changed. She said absolutely not - so I drove to Asheville, changed in the car. Drove back out and luckily the overnight staff member was kind and nice given the situation. I only got to sleep 3.5 hours before having to drive to CLT to fly out. When I woke up - there were little critters walking around near the bathroom... so that didn't make me happy. I guess you get what you pay for right. The bed was comfortable and they had nice pillows... so that was a plus for them.
The room was severely neglected the heat didn’t work the thermostat was broken didn’t know weather I was turning the heat on or off the was no smoke detector in the room there was dried food on the microwave but the worse part was the roaches in the room we ended up leaving we just couldn’t stay there my suggestion DO NOT go to Redroof inn or econo lodge..

Checking out on weekend we weren’t told that they don’t open the office until 7:30 am. Waited around 2 hours(was supposed to be gone by 6 am so tried to check out at 5:30 am). Then got told we could have just left our key in our room.
