This property is magical. Quiet, beautiful and special surroundings with lovely gardens, views and just really spectacular natural setting. The casita was super clean, charming and an amazing night sleep in utter silence with great star and night sky viewing. Food was amazing - the breakfast was really excellent. Lobby and common spaces are charming and beautiful indoors and out.

What a charming place here in Colorado. It was a lot more than what I expected. Lots of darling cabins cottages, and barn. Houses to stay in. The property is beautiful with lots of areas to rome. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful beautifully build place in the nowhere. Stylistically you get into an old western hotel, with a lot of taste much attention to detail, beautiful gardens, balconies and terasses. We sat outside for breakfast and enjoyed good wine on the balcony at night. The staff is hard to reach but everything is well organised, we found a message with a key code whwen we arrived. The next restaurant is 15min, and 30min to Durango.

Just a heads up that this B&B is actually a 25 minute drive outside of Durango. That was definitely an unexpected wrinkle in our plans. They don’t serve breakfast until 8am, and if you are riding the Durango to Silverton Railroad, you have to be AT the train station by 8:30, and that’s after you drive 25 minutes to get there, wait 5-10 minutes in line to get into their all day parking lot, and then walk to the station. That issue caused us to have to skip breakfast altogether. Bummed for sure. Aside from that, the staff was super friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the stay. The only critiques for the room were: 1. The TV was really small and didn’t receive any major network stations. 2. The light above the bathroom vanity was quite dim, although I’ve been told I’m much more attractive in the dark, so maybe the dim lighting was a blessing?! 3. It took 90 seconds or more to get hot water at the shower and/or the bathroom sink.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Lake Ranch. The property was fantastic. Lots of birds and a few deer walking around. There’s so many places to sit and enjoy the views. Our room was wonderful. Our room was spacious and very relaxing, with a patio in back. Our only regret is, we did not get to stay longer.
