Known Locally as The "green plague", an infestation of iguanas are wreaking havoc in Puerto Rico chewing up plants, crops, and burrowing under roads and dikes. They are not native to Puerto Rico, have few natural predators, and breed like rabbits. Their population is estimated at about four million and now outnumber humans in this U.S. territory. Now, authorities have a new solution... eat them ! The meat is more popular in other countries than in Puerto Rico which hopes to gather iguanas up, slaughter them, and export the meat to countries in Latin America, Asia and elsewhere where they have a taste for the lizards. Rumor has it they.... Taste like Chicken !

Beautiful hotel sits on the ocean with a beach and pool area. Staff were awesome. When they thought my bag was misplaced when we put it for keeping while we waiting to go to the cruise ship, they were as concerned as I was. They had me go with them to help locate it.
