「Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. 」

「Had a wonderful one night stay for a special occasion. Our primary reason for visiting was the spa and it did not disappoint. We used it the afternoon of arrival and the following morning before breakfast. It was lovely in the cold and we hope to experience it in warmer weather too. We ate dinner in the hotel and it was very pleasant. Breakfast selection and quality was excellent. Only some minor feedback: I had a cocktail in the State Room and it was fantastic, and when ordering the same...

「The house and facilities are fantastic, in fact it felt so homely and welcoming we did not want to come home. The owners are lovely people very friendly and helpful The area is great for getting to many close by areas and dog walks. Love the art around the gardens, fenced in garden great for our pooches. Definitely going back, need to suss the bath as couldn't get hot water but this was an "us" fault not there's as we are rubbish with reading instructions. The only let down to our weekend was...

「The cottage is next to the main road. No staying up late in bed in the mornings, the road noise woke us up from 7am. Quiet at night. The location is good, very central to explore Northumberland. Cottage well equipped, especially the kitchen. Communication was good with host. Good options for restaurants (3 within walking distance) and take aways, Coop and Budgens in the village. 」

「We were in town for the Race Across Scotland - crew stayed here throughout the week, and two of us who ran it were here after we finished. Was a close drive to Cocksburnpath, and to other surrounding areas. Great spot for 4 folks, and having laundry was a huge bonus. Lovely property.」

「The room was fantastic. Great Ocean view and binoculars to use. Fridge in room and fresh milk supplied and biscuits. Bed was comfy, good duvet and pillows. 」
