"The Best Place in Hakuba! The Mahoroba property is amazing! I will stay here again! This spacious modern 2-story 3bedroom 3bathroom townhouse has all of the amenities you need to have a comfortable and relaxing stay near the major ski resorts in Hakuba. The king bed in the master bedroom was huge and super comfortable. The bathrooms are modern with Toto bidet toilets. The showers have adjustable water pressure. The living room is huge with a modern couch, stylish chaise, and reclining solo seat. The large flat screen TV is YouTube and Netflix enabled. The dining area has a 6 seat table. The kitchen has all of the appliances, utensils, and cookware that you need. Washer and dryer on the first floor. The 21st century modern feel makes Mahoroba a very stylish and comfortable place to stay. You can see the ski resorts from the windows. The location is convenient. Excellent Japanese restaurants are literally next door. Ski/noard rental is across the street. You'll get a discount if mention that you're staying at Mahoroba. The local buses stop across the street in front of the ski rental shop. Restaurants in Echoland are just steps away. I can't say enough to compliment how amazing this place is!"

"We enjoyed our short 3 night stay at West Coast Inn in March 2026. We came to Hakuba to see the mountains and the snow, and the weather cooperated!! Our host at West Coast was wonderful and gracious! We plan to come back next year!"

"The restaurant option closes at 8pm. Something the staff did not explain upon check in. The bar doesn’t open till 4pm in the afternoon. Again, something the staff did not explain. They don’t have any vending machines with food options. Seriously so no food on site after 8pm and nothing available to eat. They don’t have vending machines with Beer or Liquor options. There were no towels in the shower area. Yes they give you an Onsen towel and small towel in a tote bag but come on. Have proper towels for the room for when you shower. Lastly, their shuttle service doesn’t run until after the first bus from Hakuba t Nagano runs so we had to take Taxi’s into the town-1.5KM. "

"Loved this hotel. Very friendly staff and beautiful rooms and onset. Staff transferred us from and to the train station. There is a bus stop right outside that take you to happo, Hakuba 47, Goryu and Iimori all free of charge. Short walk to Echoland restaurants and a great Ramen restaurant opposite the local 7-11."

"Property was amazing. Staff was kind enough to accommodate my request for a private onsen room. Which I should have booked initially but didn't realize was an option. Shuttle bus stop at the front door will take you to various ski resorts in the area. Staff is excellent, helpful, kind. Restaurant is great! Had use of a ski locker as well. Full locker, not just a place to hang skus and poles. "
