"With only one day in Busan and a pre-booked tour planned, we chose Hound Hotel Busan mainly for its location. It is only about a five-minute walk from Busan Station, very easy to find, and extremely convenient if you are travelling by train.
The staff were courteous and friendly, check-in was quick, and the room itself was neat, compact and very clean. We did notice a little dampness initially, but once we informed the staff, they attended to it.
One aspect, however, left a bad taste. We had booked the room for four people — two adults and two children, including our three-year-old — but only three towels were provided. When I asked for one more, I was told that since the room had three beds/sleeping spaces, only three towels were included. Despite explaining that there were four registered guests, I was told an additional towel would cost 22,000 KRW.
I found this policy very odd and frankly in bad taste. Charging extra for a basic towel when the booking clearly includes four guests is not something I have encountered elsewhere.
On the positive side, the hotel also offers luggage storage, which was very useful for us.
Overall, this is a clean, convenient hotel in an excellent location near Busan Station, but the towel policy definitely needs reconsidering."
