"Incredible place with top value. Choose the room with private outdoor hot spring. The meals are so delectable. The service is unmatched — it was raining as we drove up and a staff member rushed out to give us each an opened umbrella. The room and amenities are amazing."

"Kunisakiso Ryocan was lovely. We ended our trip in Kyushu here, and it was very relaxing. We get to book a private bath, and the family bath is a first come first serve, so we split that between my dughter and I in the family bath whie my husband took the private bath - no bathing suits allowed. They also have a huge public bath, but my daughter would not have anything to do with that. After a few very heck days, our two night stay was a much needed rest. We missed the evening dinner reservation...

"We stayed Sora tradition western style, room is spacious, clean, and provides good amenities - like best face soap & moisturizer face creams, top of line hair dryer, Yukata, indoor & out door slippers, toothbrush with paste. I don’t have to pack anything. They provide for you. Only thing missing was body lotion. The indoor hot springs (in room) temperature was perfect, but outside terrace one was extremely hot, so hard to enjoyable. The Japanese style meals, the dinner and breakfast we select was 8/10. All great, but the soup wasn’t my favorite, however others might like it. In my opinion, the coffee wasn’t that great, but good selection of teas. I can’t complain the staff’s service. Top notch, they will make your stay comfortable, everyone so politely kind. So, my staying at here was best experience. Another plus things was next to Hell of Beppu and has great city view. "
"We booked a tower room on 8th Floor with private hot spring in the room. The room size is like an apartment that has a living, western bedroom, kitchenette, tatami, bathroom and ocean view balcony. The bath area also has shower and open air hot spring tub that Springs from natural source. Tub is large enough for 4 persons and it offers a view of the ocean bay.
Staff service are excellent courteous and very helpful and can speak English as well. Room is meticulously clean, spotless, thoughfully and artfully designed. We selected breakfast and kaiseki dinner. Breakfast are delicious buffet style with western and Japanese dishes. Kaiseki meals are such an experience. The presentation of each dish is so pretty. We found sashimi fish dish on certain selections like sea bream, horse mackerel fish very tough and chewy although we are sashimi lovers and quite familiar in this end. We wish there were more varieties of other seafood like crab or scallops or uni in the sashimi. The wagyu beef in the Shabu shabu and sukiyaki are excellent grade. It melts in your mouth. With a room in the tower booking, we were offerd lounge club access with beer wine beverages and appetizers in the afternoon and are night.
Overall, the experience surpasses what we expected. It was a pleasant stay and we will surely come back."
"Lovely stay and super attentive staff. My bed was a bit soft. The free onsen usage on site was great. The resturant appeared to have a bigger menu than the limited Shabu Shabu that was shown in English, I wish we had known about that as the other patrons food looked amazing. Lots to do in walking distance from the hotel and free parking on site. "
"I booked ocean room. Good sea view!
I like the breakfast very much as it has smoked salmon pancakes with hot spring eggs that are very delicious!
9 - 10pm will have free drinks and snacks. I will come again."
